I'm Courtney Bailey, and I run Nail Whisp, my personal nail blog where I test colors, share care routines, and write what I'd actually tell a friend in the mirror.

I'm Courtney, and Nail Whisp is my quiet corner of the internet where I talk nails like they're part of real life, not a fantasy. I've spent years bouncing between at-home manicures, salon visits, and figuring out what helps my nails stay flexible instead of brittle. I love the little details: a clean cuticle edge, the right base coat for my peeling problem, and how certain nudes look different in daylight. I started this because I kept saving the same tips and wished there was one place to keep track of what truly works.

My story

I started Nail Whisp after a string of "pretty but not practical" manicures. I'd get home, admire the photos, then notice chips by day two, or my nails would feel rough and dry by the end of the week. That frustration pushed me to slow down and pay attention to prep, products, and how my nails react over time.

I began writing notes for myself, then sending them to friends who always asked what I used. Eventually, those notes turned into the blog, because I wanted a calm, honest place to share what worked in my own bathroom, not what sounded good online.

What I cover

On Nail Whisp, you'll find nail care routines, polish and top coat notes, and honest shade comparisons based on how things wear on my own hands. I test combinations over multiple weeks, track what causes lifting or dryness, and I write the steps the way I actually do them. I'm careful with recommendations because I'm the one living with the results, not a brand rep.
